Guesting on podcasts is like presenting a room full of your dream buyers. But how do you get on a podcast? What are you supposed to say? How do you write an email to a podcast host that

You want to communicate to the podcast host on why your audience will think you're a valuable guest.

To do that, there are three primary elements that you need to consider how you can:

  1. Demonstrate your value to their audience (i.e., tell them why their will audience be happy they had you on)
  2. Show that you’ve done your research (preemptively answer questions, i.e., why are you emailing? why are you relevant to my audience?)
  3. Make it an ‘automatic yes’ to have you on the show (i.e., give a clear call to action to move the conversation forward)

Let me tell you a little secret: I've been a specialist in Digital Public Relations and Podcast Outreach for 7+ years. I help my clients (creators in the tech space) get on podcasts, build their audience, and promote their brand. On top of that, I've gotten myself on 100+ shows as a guest through my own outreach.

The following template is what I currently use for all of my podcast outreach.
